About two years ago I used Truthfinder one time to track down an Email address and telephone number. The charge was $25 and some change.

For the next 2 years (only just found out) Truthfinder was charging me monthly for this amount.

I never authorized a monthly payment. I never authorized recurring payments. This was outright theft by deception and will be handled as fraud from my bank.

There is no disclosure that an account will be billed further than the one time purchase. A person is lured in with no idea that the company will continue to bill the person. Worse, TruthFinder sells e-mail addresses to other scammers. TruthFinders is a scam that appears to sell a legitimate service. However, the real intent of TruthFinders is to surreptitiously steal from its clients by auto-billing your credit card. It's a ripoff and a lie.

Reason of review: Dishonesty and billing without authorization.

Monetary Loss: $750.
