Update - After posting a complaint on this and the BBB website, Truthfinders claimed to remove my email from their list. After a few days, it did reduce to 1-2 emails a day but hasn't completely stopped.

Now it's starting to increase again.

Since I haven't been using this email (because of this problem), I know that the emails are related to the Truthfinders incident. It's frustrating to know that they don't honor their word.

I created an account to search for one person. The person they "found" for me was a 90 year old person, not remotely close to the person I was looking for. In return for their "free" report, they infected my computer with malware and sold my email address.

The malware was a scam that put a *** image in my browser that I couldn't close out, with a message to call "immediately" to get help removing the "virus" from my computer. I know enough not to do that and managed to clean up my computer on my own.

In the week since I visited their site, I have received nearly 800 spam emails. Most of these are related to sex and *** They did not obtain my permission to share my email address nor did they give me an opportunity to "opt out". Stay far away or you'll end up having to delete your email account too!

I've added a couple screen shots of just a few spam emails received today.

Reason of review: Spam & malware.

Preferred solution: I want the spam to stop. Remove my email from those email lists..
